Norik is a 38-year-old Armenian who was wounded in the Nagorno-Karabakh war which pitted Armenia against Azerbaijan. He voluntarily went to the war on 27 September 2020, because he believed that he had to defend the land that always had been populated by Armenians.

On 8 November 2020, Norik was in Sushi. There he tried to help a wounded soldier with the misfortune that a bullet crossed his path and hit his spinal cord. For five hours he lay on the ground unable to move until the medical services arrived.

That bullet changed his life forever. After several months in hospital he went to the Rehabilitation Centre for Defenders of the Motherland. This centre was established by the NGO "Support for Wounded and Disabled Military Soldiers" and the Ministry of Defence of Armenia. Since then, thousands of soldiers have been treated.

Norik arrived at the rehabilitation centre in May and began his return to the reality after the war. At the centre, Norik spent four months exercising in order to achieve mobility improvements.

After finishing at the Rehabilitation Centre for Defenders of the Motherland, Norik returned home, with his parents, in Abovyan. He is a young man with a lot of energy and he want to prepare himself to continue his life, carving wood and learning 3D and he also start to drive her car.

On special occasions, such as the anniversary of the start of the Karabakh war, his friends and former war veterans come to his house to get him out of his home so that he can escape from the routine.
